A range of extra-curricular activities are offered over the school year. These include:
Year 6 leadership camp. Held at Barambah Environmental Centre, this program offers the opportunity for upper school students to develop the necessary skills required to lead the student body.
Under 8’s day – a fabulous fun-filled day for all children in the district.
Barambah district sports carnivals and sport trials. Students 10 years and above are able to participate in trials in a variety of sports including; swimming, athletics, cross country, cricket, basketball, netball, league, soccer, touch, tennis and softball.
Small schools athletics and swimming carnivals held with Windera, Wheatlands and Moffatdale Schools, provide wonderful opportunities for students to socialise and compete against students from other small schools.
Sporting School programs are conducted at PCYC once a week to provide students with the opportunity of improving fitness and experiences with a variety of sports.
Religious Instruction
Religious instruction at Cloyna State Schools is delivered by the Barambah Ministers Association and is non- denominational Students in Years 1 – 6 attend religious instruction according to information given by a parent or carer on enrolment. Religious instruction in our school reflects the school community.
Classes are taught by approved instructors from various faith groups using a curriculum authorised by the Barambah Ministers Association.
Parents can withdraw their children from religious instruction by informing the school in writing. The school provides an alternative program for students who do not attend religious instruction.
