Cloyna prep is an exciting place where your child is encouraged to extend his or her learning abilities in a play based environment. We use the Early Years Curriculum Guidelines to provide active learning within a negotiated curriculum.
We actively make choices about what and how the children learn and are constantly inquiring about their interests.
The children will participate in learning activities that will help in developing their reading, writing, music, and language skills. They will also learn to work both independently and in groups.
We also build the foundations for your child to develop mathematical concepts and skills.
Prep is integrated fully into the school. Prep is a full day early education program only offered in primary schools. Our classes run from 8.45 am - 3.00 pm.
Children are eligible to enter prep if they turn 5 before June 30. Children generally enter prep at the beginning of the school year (i.e. at 4 years 6 months – 5 years 6 months of age).
